Advanced Technologies and Gas Applications for Primary and Secondary Copper Producers

Optimizing Primary Production Operations
We are committed to delivering sustainable and energy-efficient approaches that meet your specific needs while enhancing the copper industry’s environmental performance.
Oxygen Enrichment and Combustion Processes
Oxygen enrichment is commonly used in flash smelting, top submerged lance smelters, converters, and anode furnaces to boost combustion efficiency and increase flame temperature. This process reduces fuel consumption, lowers off-gas volumes, and enables more compact, efficient furnace designs. Oxy-fuel combustion, which replaces air with oxygen in burners, further enhances heat transfer, reduces energy use, and significantly cuts NOₓ emissions. It is especially effective in secondary copper melting furnaces, such as rotary or shaft furnaces.

Burner and Injection Technology for Copper Producers
We address the engineering challenges facing copper producers today by providing specialized burners and an advanced COJET® gas injection system that deliver a coherent jet of oxygen. The COJET system can be adapted to various gas blends, including hydrogen and oxygen, to enhance copper pyrometallurgical recovery. We also offer customized enhancements for different smelters involved in copper production and refining, including tuyeres, porous plugs, and other lance technologies.
