ADALKA Process

Process Stabilization

Enhance buffering capacity with ADALKA™ Process Stabilizer

Within the pulp and paper production process, the ADALKA system is used to treat stock preparation and circulation processes resulting in even and stable conditions. By injecting carbon dioxide, the production can enhance system alkalinity and buffering capacity. During this process, the stabilization of wet end chemistry and individual unit operations with carbon dioxide provides opportunities for optimization of chemical additions. Through the buffered control of pH during stock preparation, operations throughout the pulp and paper production system can become more reliable and more efficient.

The ADALKA process stabilizer application was developed primarily for the production of wood-free paper and paperboard. Results from testing and in-field implementation provided use protocols for a variety of paper qualities including wood containing papers.
