Hyperpolarized Magnetic Resonance Imaging is an emerging clinical diagnostic technology used for brain and lung imaging. The images produced allow physicians to diagnose and monitor patients without the use of conventional radioisotope compounds.
Linde is also the leading supplier of the high purity, isotopically enriched gases used in medical imaging and nuclear medicine.
3He and 129Xe are used in hyperpolarized magnetic resonance imaging, allowing high resolution images of the brain and lungs without the use of radioisotopes.
124Xe is the precursor to 125I, a radioisotope used in biological assays, nuclear medicine imaging and in radiation therapy.
Linde can supply precise custom 129Xe and 3He mixtures. We also provide imaging mixtures utilizing natural abundance xenon gas for polarizer calibration purposes. All products are prepared in our cGMP medical gases filling room.
10BF3 and H310BO3 (Boric Acid) are used in the synthesis of 10B delivery agents for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy.
18O2 and 20Ne are cyclotron targets used in the production of 18F for PET (positron emission tomography) screening applications.
