White Liquor Oxidation

Oxidation is key to improved productivity

Increasing capacity without a large investment

Oxygen may be used alone or as a complement to air when oxidizing white liquor. White liquor oxidation is a reaction to improve the sodium/sulfur balance of the Kraft process by replacing make-up caustic with internally generated alkali. By adding oxygen to existing white liquor equipment, increased capacity can be achieved while minimizing the potential for further capital costs. Within operations in which oxygen is more practical than air, pulp and paper productions can obtain cost savings.

The benefits of supplementing or replacing air injection with oxygen include:

  • Increased production rate of oxidized white liquor
  • Low capital expenditure to extend the use of existing equipment
  • Simple installation

Our focus is to bring your performance forward utilizing our extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of pulp process technology and systems. Our company has a history of using oxygen for white liquor oxidation.
